AAK’s sustainable sourcing takes centre stage - AAK

AAK’s unique sustainable sourcing programme in West Africa has grown exponentially since it began in 2009 and will be showcased through a live presentation and a new interactive display area at in-cosmetics global in London this April.

Explore on your own
The new area is called ‘Sustainability Corner’ and will be set up as an interactive educational space. Visitors are invited to use specially designed display pods to explore the latest trends and developments in personal care sustainability. AAK’s pod, along with a live presentation on April 5th, will showcase the Kolo Nafaso direct sourcing programme that helps to empower women, improve livelihoods and secure the future of shea in West Africa.

Real stories from the women of West Africa! Visit Sustainability Corner to learn about the Kolo Nafaso direct sourcing programme
and what it means to families in Burkina Faso and Ghana. Explore on your own with the interactive display pod, or join us at 11 am Wednesday, April 5th for a live presentation and open discussion.

Discover new formulas at stand S30
In addition to Sustainability Corner, lipid experts from AAK will be available throughout the show at stand S30 to demonstrate how the company’s natural ingredients can help formulators to create more sustainable products. Visitors to the stand will be able to experience for themselves new innovative formulations addressing two growing trends – environmental protection in face care, and conditioning and styling of textured hair.

Find studies to support sustainable choices
New studies will also be available at our stand showing how featured ingredients developed by AAK outperform synthetic and placebo benchmarks, providing cosmetics brands with the tools they need to move beyond less eco-conscious ingredients readily used today.
