Our AAK Sustainability Partner Program enables our customers to engage with their supply chains and invest in targeted impact projects with the women’s groups enrolled in our Kolo Nafaso direct sourcing program in West Africa. It offers an opportunity to increase the social value of brands and strengthen consumer messaging around sustainability.

Supported by the Global Shea Alliance (GSA), the shared aim is to empower women shea collectors, improve livelihoods, and secure the future of shea by maximizing the impact of our economic, environmental, and quality training initiatives.

Our Sustainability Partner Program in action

Our cookstove training project is one of the most impactful ways for our customers to engage. Here, we teach women to build safer, more energy-efficient alternatives to traditional three-stone cookers using locally available materials.

Studies show that the improved cookstoves are 2.5 times more thermally efficient than traditional three-stone cookers. They also save on wood and water consumption.
